Røde NT-2 A

Large capsule condenser mic. Very nice for vocals und acoustic guitars, gives them a certain edge to help them to cut through a mix. Switchable Polar Pattern (Omni, Cardioid, Figure Eight)

Marshall Electronics MXL V67

My other big one. Sounds much smoother than the NT2 when AB'ed, but will not cut through mixes as well.

Audio Technica 3527 (2x)

Small cap condensers with omni-characteristics (pressure transducers). I use them as room mikes or baffled omni stereo pair (OSS-disk).

AKG C391B (matched pair)

Cardioid Small Cap Condensers. Main use: drum overheads, acoustic guitar

Sennheiser MD 421

The Ultimate all-purpose Weapon in the Studio. Best suited for Toms, Brass, Speech.

Shure SM57 (4x)

THE classic guitar amp and snare drum microphone.

Shure SM58

Vocal Stage Mic. Another classic.

Shure Beta52

Unbreakable Kickdrum mike. Sounds a bit "scooped mids", which is helpful in many situations. Could use a -10/20dB switch: Tends to overload some mic-preamps, especially on hard hitting drummers. Also nice on Bass Guitar Cabinets.
